I have been with Basin Run Animal Hospital for 7 years and I have never had any problems. My first visit was excitement because I purchased my puppy Gabby, a Bichion. She was having a lot of problems and fading away and Dr. Smetana saved her life. She was back to new the next day. I have worked with all 3 doctors and they are great! They saved our cat that had a huge problem with worms and on the verge of death. Gabby has had other problems throughout the years but Basin Run has always been there for us. They have helped her with her adrenal glands and pancreas problems. The office staff has been congenial and so helpful every time. We love them and would never go anywhere else. We discovered Basin Run about 9 years ago when we got out first of two of Dr. Kilby's Scottish Terrier puppies and we've been there ever since. Dr. Kilby, Dr. Smetana and the staff have always treated out pets like they were their own. They explain what's going on with your pet so that you understand it; if they aren't immediately certain what's wrong with your pet they keep "digging" until they sort it out. If your pet is seriously ill, the folks at Basin Run understand that you are concerned and you are afraid and they treat you with sensitivity and understanding. We've gotten to know the staff over the years and they are always friendly and accommodating. We live an hour away and whenever I call to schedule an appointment, I know they'll work with me to set up a time that's convenient. A few years ago my sister was visiting from out-of-town and needed prescription pet food and I called Basin Run and they helped her get what she needed. That's the way it's suppose to be--it's about the animals and their needs. Once we found Basin Run we've never considered taking our pets anywhere else...they're the best!

We moved to Cecil County in 2001 with our beloved Boxer, Joe. My mother had referred us to Basin Run Animal Hospital for regular veterinary care of our dog. 10 years and another Boxer later, we still ONLY go to Basin Run Animal Hospital for our veterinary needs. Dr. Gloria Kilby has helped not only our pets, but us...as we had to put down our Boxer, Joe, due to cancer. She was loving and caring to us as she was to our pet. God bless her. Basin Run has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. If we must go to the vets, there is no where else our new Boxer, Sargent, would rather go. I recommend Basin Run Animal Hospital to everyone with a pet as part of their family. You simply cannot find better care or a more professional, friendly staff.

I started bringing my pets to Basin Run in 2006. Dr. Kilby and her staff are kind and caring t pets and owners; they understand that your animals are a part of your family. I have both cats and dogs and I have relied on their expertise and knowledge for routine check-ups all the way to the difficult time of having to say good-bye. I feel they are good at what they do, but more importantly, they care deeply about what they do.

We are very pleased with Basin Run Animal Hospital so much so that we travel 2 hours each way for the kind of care and attention that our dogs recieve. The facility is immaculate and the staff is friendly and supportive. It is always a pleasant experience to deal with the highly qualified and caring staff.
We know that when our two Scottish Terriers, Maggie and Martie, are there, they are in the best of care.
We live wintin 20 minutes of the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital. While so close, we still prefer to come to Basin Run Animal Hospital for out dogs' basin care.
We would highly recommend Basin Run Animal Hospital for anyone who wishes to give the best care to their pets.
